Trent Schools

August 25, 2022

Following the return to externally examined qualifications Trent College is delighted that 45% of entries were graded 7-9, while 95% of entries achieved grade 4 or above.

Mr Bill Penty, Head of Trent College, said, “We are proud of every pupil for what they have managed to accomplish in their GCSE courses. With the return to external examinations after the past two years of Covid disruptions we are delighted that this cohort has achieved an excellent set of results.

“This has been the first time that these pupils have sat formal exams since 2019. I believe that the quality of our continued education throughout the pandemic and the depth of the pupils’ hard work and commitment to their studies has shone through.

I am delighted for every pupil and it is their individual hard work and personal achievements that we are celebrating today. My warmest congratulations go to them all. We look forward to welcoming our pupils back to Trent College next month when they will begin their studies in Sixth Form.

I would like to extend my appreciation and gratitude to our dedicated teaching staff and for all they have done over these challenging few years, and also to parents for their continued support of the pupils and the school.”

Trent College provides a challenging and rewarding Sixth Form experience, where supportive teachers and flexible boarding options enable pupils to achieve their full potential.
