ALL-INCLUSIVE FEES

All elements of your child’s education are included in our fees. Unlike many independent schools, fees include: school lunches and teas, exam entry fees, term time fieldwork, textbooks up to Year 11, travel associated with school matches, and after school supervision.

Boarding Community

Our boarding houses provide a welcoming and nurturing home from home. The Trent boarding experience offers a unique model of support, encouragement, flexibility and integration. The flourishing community is created by children of all backgrounds and aspirations. Each house has an exceptional team of staff with a shared commitment to the children in their care.

Applications | Year 4 and Above

    Once you are ready to formally apply for a place, applications can be made online.

  • Entrance Test

    Children applying to join Years 4 to 10 will take a Cognitive Abilities Test, often known as “CAT”. This CAT assessment is done on a computer, and all the questions are multiple choice. Additionally, children complete an English paper so that they can express their creative ideas and imagination. There is no academic assessment for Sixth Form applicants who are currently undertaking GCSEs.

    Children applying to join Year 11 and Year 13 will not be asked to take an assessment. There will be a personal consultation and for Year 13 applicants predicted grades will be taken into consideration.

    COGNITIVE ABILITIES TEST INFORMATION

  • Interview

    One of our experienced and friendly staff will have a 1:1 chat with your child, asking about their family, interests, school life and hopes for the future. For Sixth Form interviews there will be more emphasis on future plans and career aspirations, as well as an opportunity to discuss A level subject options.

  • Taster Days

    The opportunity to have a Taster Day will be dependent on the government guidelines. Pupils who have been offered places will be contacted when we are able to confirm arrangements.

  • School Uniform

    School uniform is available to purchase online at www.schoolwearsolutions.com  and from the School Shop, operated by Schoolwear Solutions, which is located on the school campus, next door to the Chapel. To eliminate the need for queuing, all shop visits are currently by appointment only. Appointments can be booked online atwww.schoolwearsolutions.simplybook.it

    School Shop opening hours are:

    • Tuesday            1200 – 1700 (term time and summer holidays)
    • Wednesday       0830 – 1330 (all year)
    • Thursday          1200 – 1700 (term time and summer holidays)
    • Saturday           1130 – 1700 (all year)

    Please note: When booking an appointment, the form will ask you for a ‘House’. Please enter n/a if you are booking early and don’t yet know your child’s allocated House.
