
Following the announcement of our A level results last week, Year 11 pupils at Trent College, Long Eaton, are today celebrating their own academic achievements with the publication of their GCSE results.
- 25% of all GCSE entries are grade 8 or grade 9.
- 42% of all GCSE entries are grade 7 or above.
- 94% of entries achieved grade 4 or above.
Celebrating their GCSE results today were:
- Hukam Atwal achieved nine grade 9s and one grade 8 at GCSE. Academic Scholar, Hukam said, “I am so happy with my results! I have consistently worked very hard and this shows it was worth it. I have greatly enjoyed my time at Trent and all the support that the teachers have given me. They have always offered great support and advice to me. I hope to go on to a career in engineering after my A Levels.”

- Charlie Rhodes has achieved seven grade 9s and three grade 8s. Academic Scholar, Charlie said, “I am really pleased, especially with my three 9s in the sciences. The staff here have all been consistently supportive and incredibly motivating. I have lots of special memories from Year 7 right through to now, particularly the trips and CCF.”

- Isaac Lui has achieved eight grade 9s, one grade 8 and one grade 6. Isaac said, “I’m really pleased with my results. All the hard work has paid off.”

- Alex Davies has achieved four grade 9s, three grade 8s, and three grade 7s. Alex said, “I’m very pleased with my results and Trent has been a huge part of that. I can’t wait to start in Sixth Form here next year.”

- Anjali Gandhi achieved two grade 9s, five grade 8s, two grade 7 and one grade 6. Academic Scholar, Anjali said, “There is so much support at Trent, and the extra study provision is excellent. The teachers always check in and make sure you have what you need. The English and Spanish study clubs really helped me to achieve my goals.”

- Isaac Walker achieved three grade 9s, one grade 8 and five grade 7s. Isaac said, “The class environment is excellent for getting work done and the people around you really help you to revise and focus.”

- Jaya Virk achieved two grade 9s, six grade 8s, one grade 7. Drama Scholar, Jaya said, “I am so grateful to the teachers at Trent who have been so helpful to me.”

Dr Leo Dudin, who joins Trent College this week as the 11th Head, said, “It is a privilege and a pleasure to be joining Trent College at such an exciting moment and to be able to celebrate this excellent set of GCSE results with our pupils, staff and families. These achievements reflect not only the hard work, determination and resilience of our pupils, but also the expertise and commitment of the teachers who have supported and inspired them throughout their time at Trent College.”
