Joined The Elms: 2015
Mrs Billingham brings the learning of languages to life at The Elms in her role as Subject specialist teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL).
Teaching across the school
Mrs Billingham inspires pupils to nurture their love for languages, through fun activities including songs and stories. Her busy timetable includes teaching French from Pre-School to Year 6 as well as running an enrichment Spanish club for Years 3 to 6.
Before joining The Elms team in 2020, Mrs Billingham worked at the Senior School, Trent College where she taught Spanish and French to secondary and Sixth Form pupils for five years. She is incredibly proud of the outstanding A Level results that pupils achieved in Summer 2020.
Mrs Billingham has a passion for teaching and previously spent a year teaching English in a French primary school. She has developed a vast variety of teaching methods to suit children of all abilities through the study of a degree in Modern Languages with Business from University of Nottingham as well as a PGCE in Modern Languages.
Loves to travel
It will be no surprise that Mrs Billingham relishes the opportunity to travel abroad whenever possible, especially to France as she enjoys communicating in French and eating macaroons! Mrs Billingham proudly owns a VW camper van and loves going on adventures with her husband, two small children and two cockerpoos.
