Mrs Shakespeare aims to create a happy, stimulating environment where children feel encouraged and supported as they make their first introduction to classroom learning.

Her solid understanding of EYFS development means she is well equipped to work with families to ensure their children make the best possible start to school life and experience a smooth transition from The Elms Nursery.

As the proud leader of the Pre-School staff team, Mrs Shakespeare enjoys planning fun and challenging activities that aim to inspire a love of learning in every child.

Mrs Shakespeare also works closely with The Elms’ Leadership team to incorporate a whole school approach into the Pre-School education.

EYFS expert

Mrs Shakespeare has been a valued member of our school community for over 20 years, starting her career at The Elms as a teaching assistant before progressing into her current role. She knows the school and its values inside out. During this time, she has loved watching The Elms evolve into the thriving Nursery and Junior School it is today.

In addition to her substantial experience, Mrs Shakespeare is a qualified paediatric first-aider. Beyond Pre-School, Mrs Shakespeare is an avid Disney fan who has been to Disney World six times and counting!
