Everything we do is with the community of Trent College in mind; we focus on both the parents and students. We enjoy liaising with teachers to support initiatives in school from careers to the CCF. We support our Trent students, we provide a speech day prize; and support a creative writing competition. Our ‘As New’ shop is a great resource for uniform or PE kit that has been misplaced or outgrown. As a parent body we raise funds to support the school’s current charities, which in 2019 are Canaan Trust, Kenya School Foundation, Children in Need & Hope for Children.   And of course our social events are a draw for all parents & teachers alike.

We meet twice a term, get through an agenda quickly and we all have a voice. Everyone contributes to discussions, some parents organise our social events, others liaise with school, some may contribute directly to the TPA for example by being the treasurer and some make a difference with the students. Whatever you can do it will be appreciated, everyone very much has a place at the meeting table. We are very keen to welcome all parents, especially those new to Trent, the TPA is one route to quickly get to know your new school community.
We would be very happy to hear from you by email – trentparents@gmail.com or DM us on Twitter.

Do keep up to date with all of the TPA news and upcoming events on Twitter @trentparentsTPA.
