Development beyond the classroom is a fundamental part of the first-class, all-round education we provide. Featuring 30 activities from Reception to Year 6, our diverse extra-curricular provision challenges and inspires pupils to go further.

At the start of term, each year group at The Elms was established as its own social bubble. Our adapted after-school programme will maintain these bubbles and take extra measures to prioritise the safety of pupils and staff.

Every pupil will benefit from access to a full programme of varied activities that caters to a broad range of interests.

The activities for the term ahead are as follows:

INFANTS (RECEPTION TO YEAR 2)
  • Soccer Stars
  • Ballet
  • Spaghetti Maths
  • Little Wickets
  • Rainbows
  • Jumping Clay
JUNIORS (YEARS 3 TO 6)
  • Touch and Tag Rugby
  • ICT
  • Hockey
  • Scholarship Club
  • Arts
  • Spanish Club
  • Swimming Squad
  • Chess Club
  • Running Club
  • Construction and Goblin Cars
  • Advanced Sketching
  • School Magazine
  • Beavers
  • Fun Science
  • Cubs
  • Boys’ Football
  • Netball
  • German Club

Most activities are run by members of our dedicated staff team, however we are also pleased to be working with excellent external activity providers to deliver even more opportunities for pupil growth and discovery:

  • Mini Motions Dance
  • Tennis
  • Clay Creators
  • Bricks 4 Kidz
  • Karate

Continuing our excellent extra-curricular after school programme was a top priority. It is an essential part of the all-round education we provide, which develops the whole child,” Mrs Lampon, Assistant Head Juniors, said. “Adapting the programme has required a lot of hard work within our school community but the value it brings to our pupils is priceless.
