As Assistant Director of Sport at The Elms, Mr. Hinchsliff leads a dynamic and inclusive sports programme, ensuring every pupil has the chance to enjoy, participate, and succeed.

With his warm and approachable nature, Mr. Hinchsliff is perfectly positioned to inspire students on their sporting journey at The Elms. Initially drawn to physiotherapy, his passion for teaching blossomed during a gap year, prompting him to pursue a sports science degree at Leeds Beckett University and teaching qualifications at Durham University. It was here that he found the perfect way to blend his love for sport with education.

A champion of sport for all, one of Mr. Hinchsliff’s proudest moments was supporting a female pupil who earned a spot on a mixed rugby development squad for a major tournament in London.
