Head of Design & Technology
Joined Trent College: 1995
Mr Prince is the Head of Design and Technology and is responsible for the academic teaching of Years 7 – 13.
PASSIONATE FOR THE SUBJECT
Mr Prince has been part of the Trent community since 1995. During this time, he has worked in several areas of the school but his calling has always aligned to his passions in the Design department, where he has a 1st Class degree in Product Design.
GUIDING PUPILS TO SUCCESS
Mr Prince goes above and beyond in supporting pupils to achieve their best. Pupil successes have included:
- Assisting 11 students to gain the Prestigious National Arkwright Scholarship between 1995 and 2018.
- 4 national winners of the Young Engineer For Britain.
- 3 national winners, 1 x 2nd, 1 x 3rd, of the Young Electronic Designer award.
- 2 x 2nd place National Crest awards.
- Guiding 3 groups through the Engineering Education Scheme programme.
LOVER OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS
As an accredited DofE assessor for Bronze and Silver Awards, Mr Prince regularly attends pupil expeditions in the local area as well as further afield.
In addition, Mr Prince holds the ERCA High Ropes Course Instructor qualification and is responsible for the high ropes course situated in the Trent College grounds.
During his spare time, Mr Prince furthers his enjoyment of outdoor activities with his paragliding pilots license and is an avid player of Unicycle Hockey for the East Midlands Unicyclists.
