Helping pupils to go further

“Our strong focus on pupil wellbeing ensures that every child can flourish at The Elms.”

Mrs Deller

Deputy Head Pastoral

Joined The Elms: 1999

Mrs Deller is the Deputy Head Pastoral at The Elms, responsible for pupil wellbeing from the Nursery through to Year 6.

POSITIVE EDUCATION

Having joined the school when it first opened its doors in 1999, Mrs Deller has played a vital role in creating the happy and flourishing environment The Elms is renowned for today.

Mrs Deller’s additional role as deputy designated safeguarding lead involves supporting all pupils to ensure they are happy, healthy, safe and excelling. This passion for pupil welfare continues as Mrs Deller supports children to thrive through her position as youth mental health first-aider.

Promoting a culture of positivity and respect across the community is fundamental to the school values and is facilitated through Mrs Deller’s guidance to pupils on their decision making.

COMMITTED TO WELLBEING

As well as having taught every year group at The Elms within the classroom setting, Mrs Deller is also a qualified swimming teacher, who regularly leads classes for both the infants and juniors.

Whether it be learning to swim, academic success or performing in a musical concert, Mrs Deller encourages pupils to be proud of who they are and celebrate their achievements.
